Origin and Description:
This unique clone of Hoya obscura was germinated by our team of horticulturists from seeds collected in our greenhouses. Through open pollination of our mother plant, two distinct flower color varieties were produced: one with pink flowers and the other with a different hue. This particular listing is for the pink-flowered variety (UPT004), which displays delicate, star-shaped blooms with a lovely pink hue. As with most Hoyas, the foliage maintains the classic green to reddish coloration, depending on light exposure, but the pink flowers make this clone truly stand out.

Natural Habitat:
This seedling shares the same origins as the parent Hoya obscura, which is native to the tropical forests of the Philippines. In its natural environment, it thrives as an epiphyte in shaded, humid areas, though it adapts well to household conditions when given the right care.

Care Instructions:

• Light: Bright, indirect light will enhance the vibrant pink hue of the flowers. In lower light conditions, the flower's color may appear paler.
• Watering: Water when the top inch of soil dries out. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.
• Humidity: Thrives in household humidity levels of 40-60%, though it will appreciate slightly higher humidity to support healthy blooms.
• Temperature: Ideal temperatures range between 60°F to 85°F (15°C to 29°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F.
• Soil: A well-draining mix with perlite, orchid bark, and coco husk will help prevent water retention and maintain healthy roots.

Fun Fact:
The more light your Hoya obscura (pink UPT004) receives, the more vivid the pink hue of its flowers will be. If grown in shadier or low-lit areas, the flower color will be a paler pink, giving you a dynamic display based on its light exposure.
