Hoya lacunosa (krohniana silver)
It is not uncommon for some Hoya lacunosa (krohniana silver) plants to have only partially silver leaves, which is typical for this cultivar.
Amidst the pandemic, this particular plant variety became a subject of controversy. The surge in collectors and enthusiasts raised doubts about its accurate name, as numerous Hoyas in circulation were mislabeled. This gave rise to a debate without a definitive resolution. Some individuals continued to refer to it as "Hoya krohniana," while others adopted the name " Hoya lacunosa (krohniana)," as we did. We made this choice because the plant is a lacunosa variety, making it entirely appropriate to call it "lacunosa." Including "krohniana" in parentheses helps buyers identify the exact clone they are purchasing from us, given the abundance of lacunosa varieties in the market.
Feel free to use the term "Hoya krohniana" if you prefer. Both names are currently accepted for this plant variety.
