Origin and Description:
This hybrid is something I’m really excited to share—Hoya aff. burtoniae X (Seedling No. 1) came about through open pollination, and I believe Hoya 'Sunrise' might be the pollen parent. It was gifted to me by a generous friend, Ara, and it has become one of my favorites due to its unique and vibrant foliage. The leaves are different from its mother plant, Hoya aff. burtoniae, with striking colors and textures that really stand out. It’s such a beautiful mix, and I love how each leaf seems to carry a bit of mystery from its hybrid nature.
Natural Habitat:
Even though this is a hybrid, its parent plants come from tropical regions. Hoya aff. burtoniae is from the Philippines, where it grows in warm, humid environments. This hybrid has inherited those same preferences, making it easy to care for indoors if you can mimic those tropical conditions.

Interesting Fact:
This seedling has been such a fun discovery. Since it was open-pollinated, and Hoya 'Sunrise' might be the pollen parent, the foliage turned out completely different from its mother, Hoya aff. burtoniae. I love how vibrant and unique it is—definitely one for collectors who enjoy having something a little unexpected and special in their collection!
